Adeunis Pulse ATEX

1.Introduction #

PULSE ATEX is a LoRaWAN pulse interface designed to connect meters (water, gas, electricity, heat, etc.) and securely transmit their indexes, including in explosive environments (ATEX certification).

Connected to Ewattch Cloud, the device enables reliable remote monitoring of consumption data and integrates easily into industrial sites and hazardous areas.

Features
  • Centralized monitoring

Monitoring of connected meters, data analysis, and alerts from Ewattch Cloud.

  • Pulse inputs

Connection of meters via pulse inputs (dry contact / open collector depending on wiring).

  • ATEX safety

Suitable for use in explosive areas (ATEX Zone – refer to the product nameplate for the exact zone classification).

  • LoRaWAN transmission

Long-range and secure communication to Ewattch Cloud via a compatible LoRaWAN gateway.

  • Long battery life

Battery-powered operation (battery life depends on configuration and radio coverage).

2.Installation and commissioning #

Installation Steps
  1. Choose a suitable location for the Pulse ATEX enclosure, close to the meters to be read, while complying with ATEX zone constraints.
  2. Securely mount the enclosure on a stable surface, ensuring proper sealing (IP68 enclosure) and compliance with ATEX regulations.
  3. Connect the two pulse inputs to the pulse outputs of the meters (dry contact or open collector, depending on the meter).
  4. Check the installation: correct wiring, tightened cable glands, enclosure properly closed and compliant with ATEX standards.
  5. Commission the sensor: the integrated battery automatically activates LoRaWAN communication.

Configuration on Ewattch Cloud

Once installed, the Pulse ATEX can be integrated into the Ewattch Cloud platform via a compatible LoRaWAN gateway.
This integration enables:

  • Real-time transmission and processing of pulse data.
  • Calculation of cumulative indexes based on pulses.
  • Generation of customized consumption reports.
  • Receipt of alerts in case of communication loss or threshold exceedance.

To simplify adding your sensors to Ewattch Cloud, you can use the Scan to Cloud feature, an intuitive solution that streamlines provisioning in just a few clicks.

3.Data available on Ewattch Cloud #

Once the Pulse ATEX is integrated into the Ewattch Cloud platform, several data points are automatically transmitted and available for monitoring, analysis, and supervision. These data are classified into two categories: inputs (measured values) and outputs (actions possible from the cloud).

Available Inputs

Name Description
PULSE 1 Pulse counter connected to input 1.
PULSE 2 Pulse counter connected to input 2.

These data enable real-time monitoring of consumption and the calculation of cumulative indexes directly on Ewattch Cloud.

Available Outputs

Name Description
None The Pulse ATEX is a measurement-only device; no outputs are available.
