This pre-wired enclosure integrates the SynapseCore Legacy gateway into a complete, robust, and ready-to-use field solution dedicated to secure data collection and transmission to EwattchCloud.

Designed for technical environments, it enables rapid deployment of a high-performance LoRaWAN infrastructure capable of integrating up to 1,000 sensors, while ensuring service continuity through local data logging.

Pre-configured by Ewattch and factory-tested, the enclosure guarantees simplified installation, secure connectivity, and immediate operation without complex on-site configuration.

Secure updates via VPN and simplified access for maintenance and supervision operations.

Network Infrastructure

Network Configuration

Firewall

• Allow: MAC or IP addresses of the gateways to communicate outbound through ports 80 (http), 443 (https) and 123 (NTP) to the server www.ewattchcloud.fr, and through port 53 to the configured DNS servers.
• SynapseCore: allow MAC or IP addresses to communicate outbound through ports 51820 and 51821 (TCP and UDP) to wg.vpn.ewattch.cloud.
• Whitelist: add www.ewattchcloud.fr and wg.vpn.ewattch.cloud to the firewall whitelist.
• RAK: if present on the network, allow MAC or IP addresses to communicate with Ewattch gateways through ports 1780 and 1782 (TCP and UDP).

Addressing

• WAN Port: By default, the WAN port is set to DHCP. Check that the gateways correctly obtain network parameters (gateway, DNS). If switching to a static IP, set the DNS to 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS) if necessary.
• LAN Port: The SynapseCore LAN port has a fixed IP address of 192.168.25.1/24 and acts as a DHCP server.

DNS

• DNS Access: gateways must be able to access DNS (Domain Name Service), either via the gateway (DNS relay) or directly (e.g., 8.8.8.8 on port 53).
• Domain: gateways must be able to access the domain www.ewattchcloud.fr.

Proxy

• HTTP Proxy: if a proxy is used, it will not be configured automatically. Configuration must be carried out directly in the gateways.
• Authentication: authenticated proxies are not supported.

Installation

Simply install your Ewattch pre-configured enclosure. Connect your enclosure and equipment following the diagram below.

Configuration on Ewattch Cloud

The SynapseCore does not require any prior configuration from the client. It is automatically pre-configured by us before shipment. You only need to connect your sensors using the Scan to Cloud feature, an intuitive solution that simplifies provisioning in just a few clicks.

The SynapseCore gateway enables the collection and control of all data available from compatible sensors (all sensors manufactured by Ewattch as well as third-party sensors marketed by Ewattch) and supported communication protocols (MODBUS).
