1.Introduction
Upgrade your radiators without major renovations

Thermostatic Valve Head
VICKI is a thermostatic valve head designed to replace conventional thermostats with a LoRaWAN controller connected to EwattchCloud. Settings and monitoring are accessible remotely or via the local display.
Ideal for renovation projects (hotels, offices, residential buildings), it provides immediate comfort and up to 30% energy savings through automation based on occupancy or schedules, while remaining compatible with most existing equipment.
Features
- Intelligent control
Automatically adjust the temperature according to occupancy or configured schedules.
- Easy installation
Quickly attaches by replacing the existing thermostatic valve without tools.
- Secure LoRaWAN communication
Long-range connection with encryption to protect data.
- Centralized management
Monitoring and control via EwattchCloud, accessible remotely from any device.
- Regulatory compliance
Ensure energy consumption control to comply with the BACS Decree.
- Energy savings
Adjust setpoints to optimize comfort while reducing waste.
Bidirectional Class C communication for fast, optimized, and reliable status feedback.
2.Installation and commissioning

- Set the old thermostatic valve head to the maximum position (e.g., 5) before removing it.
- Unscrew the retaining ring of the old thermostatic valve head and carefully remove it.

- Place the mounting plate on the thermostatic valve. Use the supplied adapters if necessary (RA, RAV, RAVL, etc.).

- Tighten the retaining ring onto the valve to secure the backplate. Do not overtighten.

- Install the valve head by aligning the grooves on the head and the plate, then apply moderate pressure on the screen and turn clockwise until it locks into place.
Configuration on Ewattch Cloud
Once installed, the valve head can be integrated into the Ewattch Cloud platform via a compatible LoRaWAN gateway. This integration enables:
- Real-time monitoring of control, temperature, and humidity.
- Creation of heating schedules.
- Generation of customized reports.
- Receipt of alerts in case of malfunction or predefined threshold exceedance.
To simplify adding your sensors to Ewattch Cloud, you can use the Scan to Cloud feature, an intuitive solution that streamlines provisioning in just a few clicks.

3.Data available on Ewattch Cloud
Once the valve head is integrated into the Ewattch Cloud platform, several data points are automatically transmitted and accessible for monitoring, analysis, and control. These data are classified into two categories: inputs (measured values or thermostat states) and outputs (modifiable values for control).
Available Inputs
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| EXTERNAL_TEMPERATURE | Temperature measured outdoors or from a connected external sensor. |
| TARGET_TEMPERATURE | Target temperature that the user or automation system aims to reach. |
| TEMPERATURE | Ambient temperature measured locally by the thermostatic valve head. |
| OPEN_WINDOW | Automatic detection of an open window (rapid temperature drop). |
| CLOSE_PERCENT | Valve closing rate expressed as a percentage (0% = fully open, 100% = fully closed). |
These data enable real-time monitoring of thermal comfort and analysis of heating system behavior.
Available Outputs
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| TARGET_TEMPERATURE | Target temperature that the user or automation system can set remotely via Ewattch Cloud. |
