FANCOIL is a solution designed to replace conventional thermostats with a LoRaWAN controller connected to EwattchCloud. Settings, fan speeds, and monitoring are accessible remotely or via the local display.

2.Installation and commissioning #

Installation Steps
  1. Turn off the power supply to the existing thermostat and remove it without disconnecting the existing wires.
  2. Identify the appropriate wiring diagram according to the fan coil unit configuration (2- or 4-pipe system, multi-speed fan or ECM).
  3. Mount the backplate on the wall at approximately 1.5 meters above the floor, away from direct sunlight.
  4. Connect the wires according to the selected wiring diagram, ensuring that no stripped wire is exposed outside the terminals.
  5. Install the thermostat onto the mounting plate and tighten the safety screw located at the bottom of the device.

Configuration on Ewattch Cloud

Once installed, the thermostat can be integrated into the Ewattch Cloud platform via a compatible LoRaWAN gateway. This integration enables:

  • Real-time monitoring of temperature and humidity.
  • Creation of heating/cooling schedules.
  • Generation of customized reports.
  • Receipt of alerts in case of malfunction or predefined threshold exceedance.

3.Available data on Ewattch Cloud #

Once the MClimate Fan Coil thermostat is integrated into the Ewattch Cloud platform, several data points are automatically transmitted and accessible for monitoring, analysis, and control. These data are classified into two categories: inputs (measured values or thermostat states) and outputs (modifiable values for control).

Available Inputs

Name Description
SETPOINT Temperature setpoint currently defined on the thermostat.
MODE Active operating mode: heating, cooling, ventilation only, etc.
STATUS Overall operating status of the thermostat (on/off, running, idle, etc.).
VALVE STATUS Status of the control valve (open/closed).
HUMIDITY Relative humidity level measured in the room.
TEMPERATURE Ambient temperature measured by the integrated sensor.
FAN SPEED Current fan speed (low, medium, high, or proportional in ECM mode).

These data enable real-time monitoring of thermal comfort and analysis of heating or cooling system behavior.
