[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] The RAK WisGate Edge Lite 2 complements your Ewattch solution by acting as a packet forwarder to extend the LoRaWAN coverage of an Ewattch Multitech gateway<\/strong>. [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Prerequisites<\/h2>\n

Requirements for extending a LoRaWAN network<\/strong><\/h5>\n
    \n
  • Ewattch Multitech gateway: static IP<\/strong> or DHCP with reserved IP<\/strong> and known address. Ethernet network<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • RAK Edge Lite 2 connected to the same Ethernet network as the Ewattch Multitech gateway<\/li>\n
  • Open ports 80, 123<\/strong>, 443<\/strong>, 1780<\/strong> and 1782<\/strong> on the network for the RAK<\/li>\n
  • NTP server available on the local network<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Step 1<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    • Connect to the RAK Wi-Fi network (RAK7268V2_XXXX<\/strong>). Enter the IP address 192.168.230.1<\/strong> in a web browser and log in using the username root<\/strong> and the default password EwattchRak88!<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Make sure to change the password afterwards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Once connected, go to the configuration menu: the second icon from the top in the left sidebar.<\/li>\n
      • Expand the Protocol<\/strong> section. In the UDP Protocol parameters<\/strong> section, enter the IP address of the master gateway<\/strong> (Multitech) in the Server address<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
      • Verify that Server port up<\/strong> is set to 1780<\/strong> and Server port down<\/strong> is set to 1782<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Save your changes at the bottom right of the page by clicking the Save changes<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

        • Go to the Network<\/strong> menu, the third icon from the top in the sidebar.<\/li>\n
        • Open the Settings<\/strong> section of the Ethernet<\/strong> network.<\/li>\n
        • Enter the IP address of the Multitech gateway<\/strong> used for communication with the RAK and click ADD<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        • Remove the ping to the address 8.8.8.8<\/strong>, then save the configuration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • Go to the Settings<\/strong> menu, the fifth icon from the top in the sidebar.<\/li>\n
          • Open Time synchronization<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          • Enter the authorized NTP server address(es)<\/strong> available on your network.<\/li>\n
          • Remove unnecessary entries.<\/li>\n
          • Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
