[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] The RAK WisGate Edge Lite 2 complements your Ewattch solution by acting as a packet forwarder to extend the LoRaWAN coverage of an Ewattch Multitech gateway<\/strong>. [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Requirements for extending a LoRaWAN network<\/strong><\/h5>\n

  • Ewattch gateway: static IP<\/strong> or DHCP with reserved IP<\/strong> and known address. Ethernet network<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • RAK Edge Lite 2 connected to the same Ethernet network as the Ewattch gateway<\/li>\n
  • Open ports 80, 123<\/strong>, 443<\/strong>, 1780<\/strong> and 1782<\/strong> on the network for the RAK<\/li>\n
  • NTP server available on the local network<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Network Identification<\/h3>\n

    After powering on the RAK Edge Lite 2, a Wi-Fi hotspot network is automatically created. The network name follows this format:<\/p>\n

    Name format:<\/strong> EWATTCH_RAK_ABAB<\/code><\/p>\n

    • ABAB<\/strong> represents the last four characters of the device MAC address<\/li>\n
    • Example:<\/strong> EWATTCH_RAK_1A2B<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Connecting to the Hotspot<\/h3>\n

      1. Search for the corresponding Wi-Fi network in the list of available networks<\/li>\n
      2. Connect to the network (no password required by default)<\/li>\n
      3. Wait until the connection is established<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
