[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Prerequisites<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Required to get started<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Installation location with Ethernet or 4G coverage<\/li>\n<li>Internet access from the Ethernet network<\/li>\n<li>Power outlet near the SynapseCore<\/li>\n<li>SynapseCore in factory configuration<\/li>\n<li>Account and structure on Ewattch CLOUD<em><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row] [vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; enable_grid_lines=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Startup Procedure<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Step 1 &#8211; Direct Ethernet connection from PC to SynapseCore<\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Connect the SynapseCore power supply<\/li>\n<li>Configure the computer\u2019s Ethernet connection with a fixed IP address: 192.168.1.100<\/li>\n<li>Check that the SynapseCore has fully started (PWR LED solid on and ACT LED off)<\/li>\n<li>Connect the Ethernet cable to the eth0 port, open your web browser (Google Chrome is used in this documentation), and enter the following IP address in the address bar: http:\/\/192.168.1.197<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5550&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will be prompted to create an administrator account to continue. Enter the information you wish to use to log in.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your credentials; you now have access to the SynapseCore configuration interface.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5551&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Step 1 &#8211; Ethernet connection via network (if not direct)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Connect the SynapseCore power supply<\/li>\n<li>Check that the SynapseCore has fully started (PWR LED solid on and ACT LED off)<\/li>\n<li>Connect the Ethernet cable to the eth0 port, open your web browser (Google Chrome is used in this documentation), and enter the following hostname in the address bar: <strong>synapsecore-&lt;last 3 parts of the MAC address in lowercase&gt;.local<\/strong> (for example, for a SynapseCore with MAC address 00:01:02:A3:B4:C5, the hostname will be <strong>synapsecore-a3b4c5.local<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5552&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will be prompted to create an administrator account to continue. Click <strong>+ Add a device<\/strong> in the <strong>Devices<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5573&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_shadow&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enter the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>name you wish to assign to the device<\/strong><\/span>, then enter the <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>MAC address<\/strong><\/span> and the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>API key<\/strong><\/span> (these last two pieces of information are available in the Home tab of the SynapseCore web server).
