Prerequisites<\/h2>\n

Necessary for setting up an Ewattch solution on a local network.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

  • Management using either fixed IP<\/strong> or DHCP with reserved<\/strong> and known IP<\/strong>. Ethernet network<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Possibility of authorizing ports 53, 80, 123<\/strong>, 443 <\/strong>to www.ewattchcloud.fr<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Possibility to authorizing port 51820<\/strong> to wg.vpn.ewattch.cloud<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Possibility of authorizing RAK ports 1780<\/strong>, 1782<\/strong> to EWATTCH Gateways<\/li>\n
  • Compatible hardware sold by Ewattch (RAK<\/strong>, Multitech<\/strong>, SynapseCore<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The connection is made from the gateways to the server (in HTTP, HTTPS), which initiate the connection like a conventional web browser.<\/p>\n

    Firewall<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    • Allow gateway MAC or IP addresses<\/strong> to be output on ports 80<\/strong> (http) ,443<\/strong> (https) and 123<\/strong> (NTP) to the www.ewattchcloud.fr<\/strong> server. And port 53<\/strong> to configured DNS<\/li>\n
    • Allow SynapseCore MAC or IP addresses<\/strong> to be output on ports 51820<\/strong> to the wg.vpn.ewattch.cloud<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • We recommend that you add www.ewattchcloud.fr and wg.vpn.ewattch.cloud to<\/strong> your firewall’s site whitelist<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • If RAKs are present on the network, authorize the<\/strong> RAKs’ MAC or IP addresses<\/strong> to communicate with EWATTCH gateways via ports 1780 and 1782<\/strong> (MAC or IP addresses).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • In DHCP<\/strong> mode, check that gateways take network parameters such as gateway<\/strong> and DNS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      • With fixed IP<\/strong>, check network parameters, and set DNS to 8.8.8.8<\/strong> (DNS google) if necessary<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        DNS<\/strong><\/h5>\n

        • Gateways must be able to access DNS<\/strong> (DOMAIN NAME SERVICE) either via the gateway (DNS relay) or directly (e.g.<\/li>\n
        • example 8.8.8.8 for google DNS, port 53<\/strong>)<\/li>\n
        • Gateways must be able to access the domain www.ewattchcloud.fr<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          Proxy<\/strong><\/h5>\n
            \n
          • If an HTTP proxy is used, it will not be configured automatically. It must be configured in the gateways. Authenticated proxies are not supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
