    2.<\/span>Description and usage<\/span> #<\/span>

    A Tyness can be fitted with an additional board for digital inputs.
    \nThere are 5 versions of this board:<\/p>\n

    \u25cf a version for up to 2 dry contacts, compatible with all inputs without voltage.
    \nReference<\/span> : TYNESS-OPT-DIGITAL-2IN
    \n\u25cf <\/strong>a version for up to 4 dry contacts, compatible with all inputs without voltage.
    \nReference<\/span> : TYNESS-OPT-DIGITAL-4IN<\/strong>
    \n\u25cf A 12-24V AC 2 channels version, compatible with alternative voltages, and
    \ncontinuous low frequency signals.
    \nReference<\/span> : TYNESS-OPT-2IN-12_24V_AC<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u25cf A 12-24V AC 4 channels version, compatible with alternative voltages, and
    \ncontinuous low frequency signals.
    \nReference<\/span> : TYNESS-OPT-4IN-12_24V_AC<\/strong>
    \n\u25cf A version 12-24V DC 2 channels, enables to interface with high frequency digital
    \nsignals, but incompatible with the alternative voltages.
    \nCaution: The high bandwidth of this card makes it not recommended for slow signals subject to rebounds (example: buttons, reed switch, etc.)<\/em><\/span>

    The boards have 3 modes of functioning:
    \n\u25cf a pulse metering mode
    \n\u25cf a reading mode of status of the inputs
    \n\u25cf a temporal counting mode of the active duration of the inputs
    \nThe boards for dry contacts can, for example, be used to read the counters of
    \nwater and gas with pulse output.
    \nThe 12-24V boards can, for example, be used to control the switching on of a
    \ndevice by the resumption of a control voltage or of an output light.
    \nThe board is intended to be set up on the Tyness.<\/span><\/p>\n

    It comprises terminal blocks of type AVX series 9276. The
    \nserigraphy of the printed circuit board specifies the function of the terminal
    \nblock.
    \nThe board is powered by the Tyness.<\/p>\n

    These boards can be used with a battery powered Tyness: option TYNESS-OPT-PACK-PILE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

    The Tyness and the board must be disconnected.
    \nThe board must be installed carefully and with precision of the connectors on
    \nthe locations EXT.1 and\/or EXT.2 of the Tyness.
    \nThe wires of the inputs must be inserted carefully into the terminal blocks as
    \nindicated below.<\/p>\n

    The 12-24V DC board is not polarized.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    To extract a wire, it is necessary to insert in advance a fine tool into the
    \nopening above the wire as indicated below.
    \nThis will release the wire.<\/p>\n

    \"\"The board is configured with the Configurator software
    \nAlways use the latest version of the Configurator and check that your Tyness has
    \nthe latest version of the firmware. If necessary, carry out an update.<\/p>\n

    1 \u2013 Click on \u201cConfig\u201d of the pulse board
    \n2 \u2013 In the insert \u201cEnabled channels\u201d, define which inputs will be active.
    \nTo do so: click on 1 and\/or 2.
    \n3 \u2013 Define the sending period of the readings: insert \u201cFrequency\u201d
    \n4 \u2013 Define the functioning mode of each input: insert \u201cSelect channel mode\u201d
    \nImpulse: returns the index of the number of pulses counted from start-up of
    \nthe product.
    \nInput : returns the status of the input at the time of sending of the frame
    \n(voltage detected or not)
    \nTime count : returns the period during which the voltage was detected on the
    \ninput from the start-up of the product.
    \n5 \u2013 Once all the values are entered, validate by clicking on \u201cSave\u201d
    \nIf the operation is successful, a window displays \u201coperation successful\u201d.
    \nValidate by clicking on OK.<\/p>\n

    It is possible to read with the Configurator software the number of pulses counted by the Tyness.<\/p>\n
